Approximately 10,000 plus visitors attended the 2011 Remember in Shreveport When-The Exhibit where hundreds of items from the late 1800s through the 1970s were displayed. Multiple generations were represented in the celebration of Shreveport people, places, and events of the past. Many of the attendees admitted they hadn’t been to the museum in decades and were impressed with recent improvements. According to LSEM director Wayne Waddell, it was “a highly successful exhibit.” This year’s exhibit includes different memorabilia, including items from neighboring Bossier City, in addition to the Shreveport memorabilia.

Burton, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2001, has recorded and performed with such notables as Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and John Denver to name a few. Osborn had recorded and also performed with Ricky Nelson as well as Hank Williams, Jr., Mel Tillis, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, Johnny Rivers and others.
