Hi James; I was at the TCB concert last night in Niagara Falls , on your birthday, (you're 15 months older than me). I have been looking forward so much to actually hearing you, and it was more than I could ever have hoped for.... simply wonderful. It must be extremely satisfying to realize that almost every musician in North America, whether professional or just-for-fun, dearly wishes that they could be James Burton for just one concert, maybe even for just one hour. I wondered if you watched the "Elvis On Tour Movie" this week. All the theaters were packed. Your guitar playing single handedly saved Elvis' career by putting the hard driving bluesy style back in to his show that allowed him take back his spot at the top of the rock n roll music scene. |
